The University of Passau

The University of Passau was founded in 1978 which makes it a relatively new and modern University in Germany. Since it's founding it has gone on to gain top positions in academic rankings. About 10,000 students attend the University from over 80 different countries which makes it a very international and culturally diverse University. This internationalism is an integral part of the University with most degrees having an international focus, the possibility of undertaking double-degrees and 14 different foreign languages to choose from.

Passau finds itself in south-east Bavaria not far from Munich. The University campus is located near the Old Town of Passau on the bank of the River Inn and the different department buildings are located a very short distance from one another. The degree course I will be undertaking is part of the Arts and Humanities Faculty and is titled International Cultural and Business Studies.

Outwith academic work the University offers various sports facilities such as a gym and sports fields, a variety of sports clubs and classes as well as a number of societies. There are also a number of Cafeterias and the Refectory dining area. All of this leads to the University achieving high levels of student satisfaction.
